We have all experienced the loss of a loved one.

We all know how much sorrow and grief come with the passing of a loved one. Likewise, our soul mate, friend, parent, relative, and last but not least, a pet will all suffer deeply and sometimes for the years to come.

What is grief? According to medicinenet, "Grief is the normal process of reacting to a loss. The loss may be physical (such as a death), social (such as divorce), or occupational (such as a job). Emotional reactions to grief can include anger, guilt, anxiety, sadness, and despair. Physical reactions of grief can include sleeping problems, changes in appetite, physical problems, or illness."

Once they are gone, what makes us feel enormously sad is that we know that we will never be able to see them again and hear their voices or hug or be hugged by them. Another thing that worries all of us is that we do not know if they will be okay in their new dimension.

But is it really true? Have we lost them forever, or will they come to visit us in ways other than physically? Is it possible that they will visit us or send us signs that they are okay?

Thankfully, the answer is Yes. Our deceased loved ones have left their physical bodies and this world, but they are somewhere in heaven, in another dimension, in another form of life. We know that souls never die. From the soul's perspective, a body is only a “vehicle” for its physical presence here on earth. Souls are, by definition, eternal. How can they hold the concept of “untimely” death to be true when they know that death does not exist?

💡
Our deceased loved ones attempt to connect with us after their passing. To do this, they use different ways of communication.

They want to let us know that they are fine and through visitations in dreams, objects, and songs on the radio, our deceased loved ones establish a connection between them and us.

The bond between souls knows no boundaries, so it is pretty common to experience the presence of a deceased loved one through signs and dreams.

Their communication methods can occur anywhere and at any time, though they are most common when we are alone. Regardless if we are at home, awake, while we are sleeping, in nature, or in the car while driving, we can receive signs from our loved ones at any time and place when we are fully awake, in a twilight state of dreaming and waking, or in a dream state.

The signs they send us differ depending on how many days have followed our deceased loved ones’ passing.

A feeling of being hugged or touched, a brush of your hair, holding your hand, or a gentle touch on your back are some of the most comforting forms of connection that can happen a few days after they pass away. The more we become aware of the messages and signs they send us, the more our loved ones will continue communicating with us. A loved one who has just passed away is always willing to let us know that they're okay and aware of what's happening in our lives. As much as we want to communicate with our loved ones, they, too, want to communicate with us!

Here’s a list of the most common ways our loved ones use to visit us or send us signs of their presence.

The Top 10 Signs Our Loved Ones Send Us

Sign 1: Electricity.

Flickering lights or appliances switching on and off for no apparent reason.

Electricity is one of the most common signs Spirits use to grab our attention. Spirits seem to like ‘playing’ with us. They love to flicker lights, turn the TV on and off, or make our alarm clock beep at unusual timing (for example, in the middle of the night).

They can do this easily because they are made of pure energy. The purpose of Spirits is to make us aware of their presence, so when a loved one has just passed away and our devices start turning on and off continuously, this is a sign of their presence.

Ask yourself: what was on TV or the radio at that specific moment?

Sign 2: Fragrance

Another common way we can tell that our loved ones are contacting us is through fragrances. Most of the scents are related to our loved ones. It might be their favorite perfume, the smell of their favorite food while cooking, or a flower. Especially if we have spent a lot of time with our loved ones, the scents they loved are still imprinted onto our cellular memory, and they know it. So this is another easy way (for them) to tell us that they are there, in another form, but still present in our lives.

Sign 3: Animals

Through their powerful energy, our loved ones can reincarnate as animals (even if they were animals in their previous life). Or, they can go inside an animal's body, be it a butterfly, a dragonfly, a bird, or a cat or dog. The sign that they are within that body is something that animals wouldn’t normally do.

Sometimes, they come very close to us. But, even if that could be more common (for example, a butterfly lands on your nose or hand, a dog comes running and happily barking at you, a ladybug decides to spend some time on your car dashboard and does not want to leave), these are all signs we must not ignore.

💡
They manifest their presence to let us know they are okay and that we are not alone.

A couple of years ago, we lost a friend to lung cancer. He was 45, and we were all shocked. His wife was much affected by his husband's death. A few months after he passed away, she took a vacation and went to an island. She decided to learn how to surf and signed up for some surf lessons. She was a beginner and not very comfortable with the idea of surfing, but a voice inside her head told her: “Go, have a try, don’t be anxious.” So she kept trying, and one day, she could eventually surf correctly and thus have fun. While surfing a wave, a dolphin came close and accompanied her on her first surfing moment.

Someone might call it ‘a lucky coincidence,’ but the Truth is, it was her beloved husband who was there with her, telling her: “Go on baby, I’m with you, nothing bad is going to happen to you.” We are 100% sure it was so.

Sign 4: Objects

Our loved ones like to place objects on our path or make them appear out of nowhere. They can be coins, feathers, keys, or clothes. These are the most common objects our loved ones like to place randomly for us to see. It might be a coin in the street, a feather on your pillow (when your pillow does not contain feathers), or an old t-shirt that pops up from a drawer that apparently should have never been placed there before.

Sign 5: Numbers

Our loved ones love to play with numbers, too.

They might show us relevant numbers, such as their birth date, an anniversary, or when they did something special for us. Also, repeating numbers are a good sign of their presence. By learning to spot numbers on clocks, billboards while driving, license plates in the vehicle in front of us, or on our mobile, we can feel their presence around us.

Sign 6: Dreams

One of the most potent ways our loved ones use to communicate with us is through dreams. Visitation dreams differ from ‘normal’ dreams because they are more vivid, peaceful, and detailed. We can easily remember visitation dreams when we wake up. We will also be able to remember everything about that dream in the future. Visitation dreams have specific characteristics that we cannot ignore. First of all, they are very vivid. Usually, they are colored dreams, where colors remind us of our loved one (a color they loved, a color of their favorite clothes, or the color of our cat or dog’s collar).

Sign 7: Thoughts

Now that our loved ones no longer have a physical body, they no longer have an audible voice. However, as seen before, they have many different ways to communicate with us. Some of the messages they send us are in telepathic form. A common method is to make some thoughts suddenly pop up in our minds. For example, a specific word or sentence your loved one used to say comes to your mind for no apparent reason. For example, you were cooking, and suddenly thought of something your loved one used to say pops up in your head. It’s probably him/her speaking to you, reminding you of the beautiful moments you spent together. These messages are blessings and can also come in the form of a song’s lyrics. Songs and dreams are a powerful form of communication our loved ones use to tell us of their presence.

Sign 8: Watchfulness

It does happen more often than we think! When we're in the early stages of grief, we develop a keener ability to "feel" our loved ones around us. They feel our sadness, so they stay with us a bit more by letting us feel their presence through signs like ‘being watched.’ Many say that a few days or weeks after the passing away of their loved ones, they felt ‘watched’ all the time, and of course, no one was around them. In reality, as they have left their physical bodies, they are not with us ‘in flesh and bones.’ However, their love for us is so powerful that we can feel like they are always watching over us.

They watch over us, protect and comfort us in those difficult moments. So, again, it’s a blessing!

Sign 9: Songs

Our loved ones can make songs play at a perfect time. The place is not essential. It could be while you’re at a shopping mall, while driving, or at home while listening to the radio. It could also be a song in a commercial while you’re watching TV. What matters is the message. If during the day, it happens that somewhere you hear ‘the’ perfect song with the perfect words, there is no doubt that your loved one is making that song play for you, just for you.

Sign 10: Buzzing in the ears

💡
The ringing in our ears is one of the most potent signs of our loved ones’ presence.

They work at a very high frequency in their new dimensional state, so when they want to catch your attention, a buzz in your ears is a strong signal they are emitting for you to hear.

Their message is: "look at the surroundings and try to spot a particular object or a cloud in the sky."

They choose this form of communication when they see us a bit distracted, so they want to keep us focused on a message.

These are the most common and meaningful signs our loved ones send us, but there are many more. If you have not yet started paying attention to the signs mentioned above, the time has come to re-establish a deeper connection with your loved one. You can also ask your loved one to send you those signs. The more you become aware of those signs, the more your loved one will communicate with you. Our loved ones are always in deep connection with us.

Knowing the signs is crucial if we want them to stay with us beyond eternity.
